Originally this website was established and maintained by the Department of Information Systems Department Telephone Directory of OTE in Greece.
The site had an archive that listed all professional directories of businesses in Greece according to their various categories and classification. The website is no more as yellow pages in different countries became extinct with time. This could have resulted from the rise of internet use today whereby search engines have taken the role of listing business through website whereby the information of a company can be accesses on its website.
Indeed, a new revolution takes place today in the telecommunications and Information Technology industry. New communication systems are being created which simultaneously can transmit voice, data, text and image. The technologies have since remained the driving force of economic and social development of various countries. Not only is a strategic sector of telecommunications technology that gives this advantage, but also the ability to monitor and influence developments.
As communications become more integrated to suits the various needs of the society and business, technological advancements are shifting to mobility to ensure that humans can access their most desired wants from any walk of the earth without having to make much sacrifices.
It was Graham Bell who invented the communication box, but today the telecommunication industry has seen tremendous changes in terms of mobility in communication and efficiency of the services which have provided a lot of reliability and dependency in communications for both businesses and individual person(s) as better tools and modes of communication are developed each day. This has enable business to not only go global, but increase their productivity while reducing the cost of operations.
I’ve decided to rebuild this site and I will be detailing how various developments in the telecommunications industries are impacting on businesses today and what to expect in the future. There some awesome posts that I have already published and they can be accessed by clicking through the various topics below.
I have a few more links that you may be interested in that are a little bit off-topic. If you are bored and need a hobby, visit this page for some fantastic ideas. For those of you who are wanting or needing to lose some weight, here is a special meal plan that helped my fat melt fast.
Here’s a page on breast cancer treatments, as well as lung cancer diagnosis information. And last but not least, I would like to introduce you to a software, and my best friend, who cheers me up and makes me laugh every single day… The Talking Moose.
The telecommunications and information technology industry has been really good to me. I have really enjoyed my experience working in this industry because of the wonderful learning opportunities that have been provided to me. Furthering my education in areas such as technology, computers, going global, diet, and breast cancer has been incredibly enlightening and uplifting. I think all men and women should have the opportunity to explore this career path because of the emphasis on education.
What is the telecommunication and information technology industry you ask? The telecommunication and information technology industry is an industry that focuses on furthering the education and information that is found on computers. It is more involved in our daily lives that you would think. Millions of Americans use the social media and google every day. It has been completely life changing!
Whether it be entertainment, education, or communication, information technology and communication is involved. This field is high in demand and is likely to continue to grow in the future, making it a wonderful career option for my generation (the millennials).
This industry has taught me so much. For one thing, it is focused on education and knowledge. An example of this is the breast cancer awareness movement. Thanks to the industry, more and more people are researching information on breast cancer which is helping to make the public more aware of the dangers of it. Having the information easily accessible has been ground breaking in helping women everywhere win the fight against breast cancer.
Another example of how the telecommunications and information technology industry is making the world a better place is its support of healthy living and diets. Thanks to this industry, we are able to log into our computer, type in the word “diet” and over a hundred million hits will pop up. What a wonderful world we live in, what a wonderful time! So much information is available to the average person. There is no reason why a single person who has access to a computer cannot become educated.
Should others join this industry? Absolutely! Nothing is more fulfilling than being a part of something larger (like the education and information sharing of the world). In this industry, a single person can make a difference in the life of another. Knowledge is one of the greatest gifts we can give someone. Giving someone the opportunity to educate themselves is the best way to help progress our society.
Another reason I think you should join the industry with me is the potential for growth. As if the opportunity to better society wasn’t enough, we also make a decent living. You are unlikely to be laid off because of the increasing demand of jobs. It is just an all-around great career. I am so grateful for my opportunity to be a part of this industry. I hope that my personal story will encourage you to learn more about this wonderful field. It is well worth the time and effort to complete your education in this field.
